Geoff Hager
A contemporary artist known for his abstract painting and sculpture, Geoff Hager is a freelance illustrator who has provided commissions for architects, interior designers, real estate developers and private art collectors for 30 plus years.
Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Hager’s study of art began in childhood under the guidance of his mother, abstract painter Helen Hager. Inspired to pursue a career in fine art, Hager studied painting and illustration at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1981. After graduation, Hager spent a year creating architectural illustrations and renderings for a Dallas architecture firm before moving on to become an independent freelance artist with a special focus on the quality and breadth of color.
Hager has shown in dozens of galleries, including Art Ability, The Contemporary and The MAC in Dallas, Trailside and The Wyoming Gallery in Jackson Hole, and Redbone in Islamorada, Florida. Hager is also a member of the Southwest Watercolor Society, Dallas Visual Artists, the Society of Illustrators and the American Society of Architectural Perspectivists.
With a special focus on quality and breadth of color, Hager produces between 75 and 100 pieces of art per year that hang in exhibitions, galleries, and public and private spaces in 44 countries. Today, Hager continues his work as a fine artist, welder and sculptor from his studio in Dallas.
