J.P. Dubord

Jean-Pierre Dubord was born in Rouen, Normandy, in 1949. He began to paint in 1967 and had his first exhibition in his native city in 1970. Dubord’s subjects are street scenes of Paris as well as the neighboring villages and beaches of Normandy. His landscapes evoke the moods of the four seasons in a particularly poetic manner. Showing in numerous exhibitions across France, he eventually exhibited in the prestigious Paris Salons: the Salon des Artistes Francais, and the Salon des Independents. Dubord’s masterful impressionistic scenes of the landscape of Northern France won him the following awards and prizes: Mention d’Honneur, Salon de Bass Normandie Medaille de la Ville de Cautelen, 1982 Medaille de la Ville de Yport, 1984 Medaille d’Or, Rueil Malmaison, 1984 Premier Prix de Paysage, Salon de Bourges, 1985 Mention Honorable, Salon des Artistes Francais, 1985 Prix du Conseil General, Salon a Pontoise, 1986 Dubord has also exhibited in Rouen, Le Havre, Bordeux, La Rochelle, Paris, Quebec, and Osaka.
